Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on the 13th of December, 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift is a pop/country singer-songwriter since the age of 20. Swift's stories of teenage love and heartbreaks are gaining her acclaim within the 21st century. Swift showed an interest in music from a young age and she progressed quickly through roles in the children's theater to her first appearance before the crowd of a thousand. When she was 11 years old, she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game and the following year she picked up a guitar and began to write songs. She drew inspiration from the musicians from the country genre like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original songs that were a reflection of her own experiences of growing up in a world that was dominated by tweens. As a teenager, Swift's parents sold their property in Pennsylvania for a move to Hendersonville Tennessee so she could devote more of her time pursuing country music labels near Nashville.
